Mr. Arun Kudale had a
brilliant academic career both in school and college.
He passed SSC examination in 1964 and stood fifth in
the merit list of the SSC board. He obtained degree
in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering,
Pune, in 1970. He stood fifth in Pune University.
After such a brilliant academic career, he made a difficult
career choice of an entrepreneur. He developed his own
import substitute products in 1971 and started a small
enterprise of his own called Mikrotech. Over a period,
this unit flowered into a major manufacturer of measuring
instruments and testing equipments. Subsequently he
started a calibration laboratory. He is also involved
in his family business.
He is one of the successful SSI entrepreneurs and businessmen
in Pune and served as the Vice-President of The Mahratta
Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture, a premier
organization of trade and industry in Pune. He has a
number of laurels to his credit and is recipient of
many awards.
Mr. Arun Kudale is a popular and well-known rotarian
in the Rotary District 3130. He has the unique distinction
of leading the Rotary District, as the District Governor,
in the year 1999-2000, while ushering in the new millennium.
He has served Rotary International on various prestigious
assignments. His hobbies include Chess, Driving and
Swimming.
He has been selected as the Chairman Board of Management
of Dnyaneshwar Vidyapeeth (Trust) in May 2002 and is
taking an active part in providing an effective alternative
to formal education for young students, who intend to
take the education of their choice.
Mr. Kudale has been associated with Dnyaneshwar Vidyapeeth
(Trust) since 1987 as a trustee.
He established two co-operative industrial estates around
Pune for the benefit of small and medium enterprises.
He participated in NPL-NABL programms and delivered
speeches to help promote the concept of Accreditation
Laboratories. He also presented a paper on Torque Metrology
in the workshop of Force and Torque Metrology in 2003
organized by National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi.
